Individuals
• Student Member: Includes upcoming young Nigerian scientists in the age bracket of 15 - 24 years or those in senior secondary/high school and undergraduate in tertiary institutions.
• Full Member: Includes young Nigerian scientists in the age bracket of 25 - 45 years undergoing post graduate and post doctoral studies or practicing science or related job.
• Graduate member: Includes Nigerian scientists over 45 years of age practicing science or science related jobs.
• Supporting member: Foreign individuals based in or outside Nigeria and who share and support the aims of NICOYS.
• Fellow: Outstanding Full members between the ages of 30 and 45 years will be honored with the title of fellow. They will act as mentor for the student and other full members. Details of nomination, screening and conferment of fellows are stated in the constitution of NICOYS.
• Nobel member: Distinguished Nigerian scientists and icon of science who are over 45 years of age. They will perform mentorship role and serve as role model to other members. Details of nomination, screening and conferment of nobel membership are stated in the constitution of NICOYS.
Institutional
• Institutional member: Includes legal entities such as schools, science organisations/associations, companies and NGO that share and support the aims of NICOYS. These legal bodies should be owned and controlled by Nigerians but could be based anywhere in the world.
• Supporting institution: Foreign legal entities based in or outside Nigeria and who share and support the aims of NICOYS.
